The TRI Resources PXML Developer Toolkit for php simplifies design, coding, and testing PXML-based cross-reference and compatibility applications for your web site.

PXML provides cross-reference and compatibility information to your web server using XML web services, a standard web communication protocol.  While XML web services communication is conceptually simple, we have found that implementing all the details can be challenging.  The PXML Developer Toolkit for php handles all the communications using industry standard SOAP protocols and provides a reliable PXML data access solution while drastically reducing development effort.

The PXML Developer Toolkit for php includes:

• PxmlSoapClient and PxmlSoapResult objects that handle all the data communication and XML manipulation.  Using these objects, you can get usable PXML data in as few as three lines of php code.
• Full HTML documentation for the PxmlSoapClient and PxmlSoapResult objects.
• Setup Check page that tests and reports on dependencies.  This page can quickly verify that your server setup will work correctly with PXML and that the PxmlSoap objects are installed and working.
• PxmlSandbox application that allows your developers to explore PXML's capabilities by making ad-hoc requests and reviewing the detailed result data, all without having to write any code.
• PxmlSoapClient_TestBattery.php file that can easily be configured to run a batch test on specific PXML data calls to quickly and test the PXML connection and your data calls, which can be invaluable in testing and debugging a complete web application.
• Example php pages demonstrating how to implement HTML web page elements using PXML data, and even a complete supply cross-reference lookup example.

System requirements: 

We have tested the toolkit components using php 5.2.6 and we are hoping to complete tests soon on other 5.x versions.  The PxmlSoapClient object requires version 5 extensions, and we do not anticipate any support for php version 4.  Please contact us for specific php configuration requirements.
